Postdoctoral Scholar in Applied Algebra

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the 四虎影视 seeks to fill a 12-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Scholar position on our Tampa campus to begin August 7, 2026. This position carries a teaching load of three courses per year, and the salary is $55,000.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mathematics or closely-related field from an accredited institution. The degree must be conferred by the appointment start date. Applicants must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Scholar. Preference will be given to candidates who have received their Ph.D. within the last three years and whose research interests are in algebraic coding theory, quantum error-correction, quantum computing, or a related area.

The contract is renewable for up to one additional year dependent upon available funding and satisfactory performance in both research and teaching. Information about the department can be found on the website: .
