From May 12 to 15, thirty students from the American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting program embarked on an educational journey to St. Augustine, Florida. The trip provided a unique opportunity for students to enhance their ASL interpreting skills while exploring the rich cultural and historical backdrop of the nation鈥檚 oldest city.

During their visit, the students toured the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, where they engaged with both faculty and students, gaining firsthand insight into Deaf education. The group also completed skill-building activities and connected with Deaf and hard-of-hearing residents of the St. Augustine community, allowing them to practice real-world interpreting in a variety of social and educational settings.
