Sarah S. Guadalupe, PhD, LMSW, is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Coordinating Chair for the Sarasota-Manatee Online BSW Program at the ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ’s School of Social Work. She has brought over two decades of experience in clinical social work, higher education, and disability advocacy. Dr. Guadalupe holds a PhD in Early Childhood Education, with research focused on culturally responsive practices in autism support and maternal mental health. She is a licensed clinical and macro social worker in the state of Michigan.
Her career spans roles in K–12 education, hospital systems, community mental health, and university administration. She has led initiatives to expand access for students with disabilities, developed online curricula, and contributed to national and international conversations on autism and inclusion in higher education. Dr. Guadalupe has presented at conferences in the U.S., Cuba, and Jamaica, and is published in the Journal of Diversity in Higher Education.
Research Interests: The impact of culture on the identification and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, Mother-child relationships in the context of a cancer diagnosis during pregnancy and Understanding career development pathways of college students with disabilities.
