Convening of Immigration and Refugee Service Providers

Hosted by the Im/migrant Well-Being Research Center and the Tampa Bay Refugee Task Force
On November 13, 2024, the Im/migrant Well-Being Research Center proudly hosted its first Convening of Immigration and Refugee Service Providers at the 四虎影视 Research Park Innovation Building. This vibrant event brought together a wide range of nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and grassroots groups dedicated to serving immigrant and refugee communities across the Tampa Bay area.
In a warm and collaborative atmosphere, participants introduced themselves, shared the missions and services of their organizations, and connected over shared interests in community building, research partnerships, and program development. A key theme that emerged was the power of inter-organizational collaboration, not only to fill service gaps and extend holistic support to immigrant communities, but also to strengthen joint applications for funding and grants.
The convening served as both a networking space and a springboard for new partnerships. Attendees expressed enthusiasm for continuing the dialogue and developing concrete collaborations with 四虎影视 faculty and fellow providers. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants highlighting the sense of community, shared purpose, and hope for ongoing engagement.
